Reminder: Friday is a Dress Down Day!

Reminder: School will dismiss at 1:30pm on Friday.

Activities Passes and Popcorn Cards will be available from Tawney Seibert at the the volleyball games on Thursday and the football game on Friday.

Breakfast is offered... every morning in the kitchen! Cereal $1.00, PBJ $1.00, Muffins $.75, Pop tarts $.50, Juice $.50, Yogurt $.50, String Cheese $.50, Granola Bars $.50, Milk $.40.

Band and Choir Announcements... All-State Choir rehearsals will be held on Tuesdays after school. Instrument Rental Forms and Fees are Due for Band members using school instruments.

Walk in Copes' Shoes...Dress Down Day, Friday, September 11th In honor of "Walk in the Copes' Shoes," the Kearney Catholic High School student body is invited to dress down on Friday, September 11th, by donating canned goods. All canned donations will be given to the Prince of Peace food pantry during the Acts of Kindness days being celebrated during Carol Cope's birthday.

Starlet Cheer and Dance Camp... The Cheerleaders and Lucky Stars are hosting a cheer and dance camp for children from 5 years through the fifth grade. The camp is on September 18, 2015, during the KCHS vs. Cozad game. See the website for a registration form!

Attention One Act Set Crew and Cast: We are doing a major overhaul on the stage to make room for new set pieces. We need you on the stage Tuesday night Sept 1 and Sept. 8 at 7:30. ON the 8th there may be some sport conflicts but if you are back in time we need your help.

Volunteer Opportunity! West Pharmaceutical Services is having a Health & Safety Fair from 11 a.m. – 2 p.m. on Saturday, September 12th. We are needing volunteers for various duties (set-up, tear down, games, etc.). Please contact Scott Renken at 308-237-2292 ext. 858.

ACT Test Prep... The John Baylor Test Prep will once again be offered this fall for Juniors and Seniors. Sessions will be held on Wednesdays and Thursdays at 7AM beginning on Wednesday, September 16th, and run through the week of October 19th. Cost is $15 payable to KCHS. Students may also access the course online on their own for free. To participate, sign-up and pay in the office. Registration deadline is Monday, September 14th.

Digital Citizenship Assembly... There will be a school assembly Friday, September 11th, in Cope on Digital Citizenship presented by Karen Haase of KSB School Law. Students in grades 6-8 will begin at 9:00 AM and those in grades 9-12 will begin around 10:15 AM. Each group will last for about an hour. Parents are welcome to attend.

Tryouts to sing the National Anthem at Fall sporting events will take place Thursday, September 3rd after school in the band room. If you are wanting to sing, you must be at the tryouts or contact Anna Kahle. Anyone is invited to try out. Groups will be auditioned at this time as well.

The Tri-M will now be organizing teams to sing at school Masses. If you would like to volunteer your talents, please sign up on the list on the band room door.

Pro-life Saving Stars Meeting There will be a Pro-life Saving Stars organizational meeting in Mrs. Niedbalski's room during lunch on Sept 8th. All interested middle schoolers are invited to attend.

Tri-M Chapter If you would like to be in the Tri-M Chapter, please pick up an application from Mrs. Lund. It is due Friday, September 4th.

Special Olympics Unified Bowling Any students interested in participating in the Special Olympics Unified Bowling team can sign up in the office. Practice is Wednesday Nights at 7pm. If you any questions, please talk to Mrs. Anderson.
