FREE SCREENING ATHLETIC PHYSICALS.... WEDNESDAY, JULY 31 - GIRLS; THURSDAY, AUGUST 1 - BOYS; FOR ALL 8TH-12TH GRADE STUDENTS AT KEARNEY CLININC AT 5:30 P.M. THESE ARE NOT FOR 7TH GRADE STUDENTS. 7TH GRADE STUDENTS ARE REQUIRED TO HAVE A COMPLETE PHYSICAL BY THEIR PHYSICIAN AND TURNED IN TO THE SCHOOL OFFICE BEFORE THE FIRST DAY OF SCHOOL.
********* THURSDAY MAY 23rd – The Marching Band will rehearse at KCHS in preparation for the NYC Trip. In addition, High School Choir members will have a rehearsal in preparation for Mass Singing and “The Ground” and “The Wheel.” CHOIR REHEARSAL: 8:15 am – 9:15 am, MARCHING BAND REHEARSAL: 9:30 am – 11:00 am, BOXING OF UNIFORMS and PACKING EQUIPMENT: 11:00 am – 12:30 pm.
Bone Marrow Registry Event The Kearney community is joining forces to host a "BE THE MATCH" bone marrow registry event for Kearneyite Staci Cannon. Following aggressive chemotherapy and having a stem cell transplant with her own cells, Staci's cancer has returned and she is in need of a donor stem cell transplant. PLEASE help Staci by having a simple cheek swab to be tested on the national registry for a match. By the grace of God, you could be the match for Staci or anyone else on the registry in need of a donor transplant. Donors must be between the ages of 18 - 44 to join the registry. Tuesday, April 23 at Younes Conference Center 8 am to 6 pm. Thursday, May 30 at Kearney YMCA. Contact: Roxanne Bascom 308-440-6147 or Molly Trettel 308 233-2452.
